Hey Laura, I am really late watching this video but to get the garlic smell out of your hands rub them on anything made out of stainless steel. I usually rub my hands on my kitchen faucet but anything made out of stainless steel will work. They even sell little bars of “soap” made out of stainless steel that you can use to “wash” your hands. But I’ve always found my faucet or stainless steel sink does the trick just fine.

I know I'm watching your videos a year after you first posted, but better late than never, right? One thing I'd like to see and maybe I just have not watched them is fertilizing plants from start to finsh. I've watched the ones on what to use to fertilize and what you use at the time of planting, but I'm leaning towards after planting and with what and how often. Say Hydrangeas, do you need to use a water soluable once a month or pellets two times a year etc. to promote more blooms. Do you only fertilize Annuals every week or once a month, and perennials only at first planting with the slow release and what to do if you didn't fertilize at first planting and it's mid-summer. This is where I get confused when, with what, how often. Fertilizer can get expensive when someone is on a fixed income.

I noticed someone commented on your stain from you Hydrangea on your siding and to use OxyClean. One thing you might try is D2. While it is mainly used for gravestone cleaning, which I do in the cooler months of GA, it can be used on vinyl siding (full strength). The drawback in large quantities it can be pricey. I've spot used it on my white vinyl siding here in Ga where I get Algae, Mildew, and Mold growth. It works wonders. The beauty you can spray and leave it. NO SCRUBBING! . However you can scrub the area, just wait about 10 minutes. It is a biological agent and does not harm the environment, it is safe for plants and wildlife. It can be used fo clean masonry, stone, conccrete, wood asphalt shingles, vinyl and aluminum siding, fiber glass, metal, paint, canvas and many other things. I buy it in a gallon form and it runs between 46.00 to 55.00 on Amazon. Some places it can cost in the 100s.

Sumac grows like a weed here in Pennsylvania but when you initially had luck, I planted a tiger eye. Then, when things started to go wild with yours, I pulled mine out and put it in a pot. It’s doing great and I think I dodged a bullet.

Hi Laura and Aaron! I think it’s so funny you don’t like the look of the area behind the pots in the Pot Competition video. To me it looks very rustic and reminds me of home in No Cal. I can imagine an old, deteriorating barn with maybe some old farming equipment laying around, perhaps some livestock still roaming! I love that look. Can’t wait to see how the property evolves in the future.

25:30 Please do not spread false information. All the flying insects have not gone to rest for the evening. There are several nocturnals insects that are out in the evening. You are an experienced gardener and still talk like this? Of course there are nocturnals insects. Just because you can't see them because you go inside at night or you can't see well in the dark, does not mean they are not out there.... come on.

Since discovering your channel a few years ago my hubby and I have been doing a container competition of our own on 4 of our large pots on our patio. I wish I could send pictures. With all the rain we have had this spring they are looking so lush. I honestly can’t decide which one is my favorite. It’s fun to watch all your different plant pairings and see how they grow together. I so appreciate your videos and the chemistry you and Aaron have together.

I understand the need to protect your skin from the sun, however, do you realize that you get your vitamin D from the sun? Your sunscreen could be more damaging to your skin than the sun. All that is is a massive amount of chemicals, that you’re slathering all over yourself. Obviously you’re going to do what you need to do. But the info we’ve been told about the sun is not necessarily true. I’m gonna leave it at that and stop my preaching. ❤

you guys work so well together it’s awesome to watch. OK I’m gonna pack myself in the back here. I was in Lowe’s yesterday and there was this lady who came up to me because I was looking at plants that were on sale and she’s like “well. I think I’m addicted. This has been happening past two weeks. I’ve been buying plants.”I said to her well do you check out Garden Answer? She’s like what is that? I said oh my God you gotta go on RUclips and you gotta check out. Garden answer once you watch one video you’re gonna be hooked , it also has an online store for stuff to buy this is a great family and they show you how to do everything.!! she wrote it down and she went right on it right there in the shop!!! so pat myself on the back. Talk to you guys later.

I have sumacks in pots here in Sweden. The pots are on the back porch and give a green lunch backdrop and screen but the porch is solid so no roots can escap and they live thrue our winters! You should try sumcks called dissecta! Rhus thyphina f. lacinata Dissecta. They at least in our climate not big spreaders. In Stockholm there is this great nursery/garden ”Zetas tradgard” and they have one tree that is over 70 years old and not even one sucker!! It is glorious! Laura don’t give up on having them, just find the right sort that doesn’t spread that wildly!

BEAN FAIL ???,,,, I read that cold temps and wetness can rot the beans,,,40 degree night,,, Interesting that the one bean that did sprout seemed to have fallen to the wayside away from the drip and may be the reason it survived,
